S-Rank gates

S-Rank gates were completely redesigned: they no longer appear at random. They now open when the server meets progression conditions, meaning enough high-level players are online.

That turns an S-Rank gate into a server event: if one appears, it is because the connected community is ready to attempt it.

Preparation phase

Before a gate opens there is a preparation phase. Use it to gear up, switch builds or gather your party: once it starts, there is no time to run home for the good armour.

Outbreak Gates

Outbreak Gates no longer depend on whoever created them. If every player leaves, the gate pauses instead of being lost, and resumes when someone returns.

Experience in gates

Remember that farming gates far below your level penalises experience: the lower the gate relative to you, the less you earn. Boss kills, on the other hand, carry a x2 multiplier on your cap.
